Our Story
Deven Pillay founded MEP security by securing the complex he lived in, after
being left abandoned by the current security provider. He spearheaded the
business which he established in 2006 and has transcended it to what is
today known as EnviroSpecSA . Being an avid family man who is passionate
about a secure lifestyle, he prevails to secure others.
EnvirospecSA, which started out as MEP Security focusing on Guarding,
Access control and Emergency response has now expanded to a suite of
services ranging from Security services encompassing Environmental
protection, Personal protection, Escorting , Emergency response , Strike &
Riot control to Tactical K9 services, Alarms and monitoring, Camera
monitoring, to Adhoc services viz Gates & Gate Automation (installation &
maintenance Electric Fencing & Gates (installation & maintenance), CCTV
Camera Systems (installation & maintenance), Access Control Systems
(installation & maintenance), External Camera monitoring (off-site 24 hours)
Health and Safety Audits and Implementation.
Reflecting Back
Highlights
Recording our first client in 2006 and still providing the
service in 2022 makes us believe that exhibiting our
intention to retain clients is our highest priority.
Presenting our first staff member with a 17 year long
service award brought a sense of belonging and care
that both our company and employees have for each
other.
Having been featured in a local (Carte Blanche and
international television (Australian TV Network) for
selfless service shown during a state of Disaster (KZN
Riots).

Tactical Canine Unit
Ghost
The longest reigning member of our K9 team, Ghost has pioneered the way for his successors in a stellar fashion and is responsible for securing a National Key Point location.
Venom
A menace to any assailant trying to avoid the capture by this Canine is relentless in her pursuit and takedown abilities.
Zorro
K9 Zorro has reached Law Enforcement classification and has an apprehension success rate of 100%, securing our second National Key point client.
Yuri
Our Track and Chase specialist needs no introduction, having the ability that is entrenched in his DNA makes any task look easy.
